About this policy

ElevateED respects the privacy of everyone we work with. This Data Protection Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (the PDPA).

What we mean by personal data

Personal data is any information, true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that information alone or together with other information we hold or are likely to hold. It does not include data that has been anonymised. Personal data collected on behalf of a public agency may be exempt from parts of this policy.

How we use personal data

With your consent, or where the law allows, we may collect, use and disclose personal data to:

• deliver the services and programs you have asked for
• respond to enquiries and keep you informed about our work
• manage recruitment and events
• process payments and billing, and meet tax, audit and other legal and reporting obligations

Consent

We collect, use or disclose personal data only with consent, or where the law permits us to do so without it. If you give us personal data about someone else, you confirm that you have that person's consent to do so.

You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at admin@elevateed.com. We will need up to ten working days to act on a withdrawal. Depending on what is withdrawn, we may no longer be able to provide some or all of our services to you.

Keeping personal data accurate

We take reasonable steps to keep the personal data we hold accurate and complete. Please let us know if any of your details change.

Protecting personal data

We use reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect personal data from unauthorised access, use, disclosure or loss. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for, or as long as the law requires.

Our website uses cookies to make features work, improve your experience and help keep the site secure. You can choose which cookies to accept through the cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.

Access and correction

You may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year. You may also ask us to correct any errors. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests, and may decline repeated or unreasonable requests. We aim to respond within twenty working days, subject to the exceptions set out in the PDPA.

Transfers outside Singapore

We generally do not transfer personal data outside Singapore. Where we do, we will make sure the recipient protects it to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
